Banjo neck and dowelstick are carved from one continuous piece of mahogany (or butternut). Each is carved to fit the contour of the gourd. Each is different.Most gourds are approx 11" across, the large gourd in banjo #3 is 13" across, and hence has a deeper tone.Banjo #3 is butternut, with an oak fingerboard.
Banjo #4 has a dense dark mahogany fingerboard, and a bone nut, and rosewood tuning pegs.
All banjos come with handmade leather strap.
