Overview
Design Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C., provides a wide
range of engineering, surveying, and planning services to clients
in upstate New York.
Our list of clients includes municipalities,
industries, institutions, and private developers.
Our goal is to provide each client with prompt,
efficient service and a quality product. In order to
accomplish this goal, we have specifically designed our
organization to include all of the elements needed for
the planning (including surveying), design, and construction
observation of the projects.
Our Survey Department provides boundary and topographic
surveys, construction layout, as-built certifications, mortgage
surveys, consultation in boundary dispute cases, and land use
planning.
- Our Engineering Department has expertise in the design of
water supply and wastewater systems, storm water drainage
facilities, and complete building design.
- In the area of planning, we prepare fiscal impact assessments
and feasibility studies for new development of buildings, site
purchase, and assist in the financing of capital improvement
projects.
- We provide construction management to assure
quality control.
- We also provide forensic engineering services to investigate,
evaluate, and make determinations of the cause for personal
injury accidents or structure failures.
For those areas where in-house expertise is not available,
Design Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. has established
working relationships with various consultants who share our
high standards for quality and efficiency. These consultants
work in such areas as hydrogeology, architectural, and aerial
mapping services. Our need for subconsultant services is minimal.
However, we have a core group of firms that work closely
with our staff to accomplish the assigned tasks.
Although our range of capabilities is wide, we are a small
firm, with our staffing levels dependant on the seasonal work
loads. During peak periods we have employed up to nine
full time employees.
The choice to remain small is intentional.
We believe that the size of firm allows for a
wide range of expertise, while optimizing efficiency
and allowing us to provide our clients with personalized service.
