Large Nursery Favourites

(1972 - 1981)

The 1972-1981 Nursery Favourites are handpainted porcelain figurines….all figurines are mold marked “WADE ENGLAND” at the back of the base and most have fine parallel molded ridges on the underside of the base, some more pronounced than others. The average height is 2 7/8”.  

During 1990-1991 Wade re-issued Old Woman in a Shoe and Goosie Gander, an ink stamp is applied on the underside of the base to indicate that the figurine is a re-issue.

A number of the Nursery Favourites are similar in design to their smaller, tea premium counterparts. Others, though similar characters, are of different design.
