The Apocalypse is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, given
through His beloved disciple, the Apostle John. The book
was written approxiamtely in AD 96. To whom it was
originally sent is unknown.
John was taken in the spirit to the future, to the Day of
the Lord (Rev 1:10), the first day of the Millennium, and
witnessed the events before and after that Great Day
which is fast approaching. The book covers the time
period from the first earth age to the third earth age.
At the end of this earth age, The King and the kingdom
are set up; promise and prophecy are fulfilled.
John is telling the seven churches (Rev 2:1-
3:22) of the events that will take place. And the
churches of today do have the revelation . . . not by the
name over the door, but by their teachings.

Genesis and Revelation
