ìEru, eru!î, They complained as the
always had.
ìWoof!î The perfect expression of exasperation,
filled the valley, slowly, completely as if pushed by the most relaxing
and heavenly sigh.
The sheep stopped their complaining.
They had heard all of existence speak through that word, that sigh. The
heard the love of life, the only true love of a universal being. They heard
the infinite expanses of time, space and thought. They all knew what was
said, but none could understand. They were not allowed to understand the
meaning, but they could see. They say their place and importance in that
infinity. They saw that infinity, without themselves, and were amazed by
the difference. The sheep saw the eyes of a universal being. In those eyes,
they saw universal love and what it can do, but being sheep, they merely
sighed, ìEru.î
