Best Ever Burger Buns

  1. Add 1 cup of flour, sugar, salt, yeast. Mix in butter and egg. Add water, mix with mixer at low speed for 1 minute. Mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Mix in enough flour to make the dough easy to handle.
    Knead for about 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  2. Spray dough with cooking spray to cover and let rise in a bowl for 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
  3. Gently deflate the dough, and divide it into 8 pieces. Shape each piece into a round ball. Place the buns on a lightly reased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for about an hour, until very puffy.
  4. Bake the buns in a preheated 375F oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden. Cool on a rack. Brush with melted butter.
