Closing of the Inne at Coldwood

October 15th-17th 2004

Join us as we celebrate the closing of the Inne for the harsh and long winter that has given Coldwood its name. The Baron and Baroness once more will gather together with friends and family to celebrate all the good things that have happened over this year. Valgard and Ambrosius will be cooking a sumptuous meal, including Valgard's famous sauerbraten. The good Baron will be hosting a small tournament for the fighters who attend, and as usual pending an archery Marshal, the Archery butts will once more be available. as per our usual rules, the site is so damp noah would build an ark, so obviously drinking is ok by us as long as it is done safely.

Directions:

Take your best route to I-87 (the Northway) and proceed to Exit 35. From the North take a right at the end of the ramp onto 442 West. From the South, take a left at the end of the exit ramp. Proceed approx. 1 mi. until 442 "T"s into 22N. Take a right. Go past the Top's grocery store and over the bridge. Make an immediate left onto Rt. 22B. Follow 22B for approx. 1/2 a mi. When it begins to curve towards the right you will leave it, following the SCA signs onto the River Rd. Stay on this road for approx. 6 mi. Then make a right hand turn onto the Mitchell Rd. Event Outcomes

Demo: St. Mary's on the lake.

This demo went off spledidly, thanks go to Duchess Marike for getting us started on dance, it went very well. The informational tables set up by out members were phenomenal. The food that Valgard and Ambrosius cooked went well, though there was more than enough and more to spare. We hope to make this a yearly demo site.

Reopening of the Inne

The reopening went forth in grande style, the work that the good baron, and his team put into the Inne were quite amazing, the addition wing of the inne, and the new wooden floor were a sight to be seen. the Baroness' work in the kitchen was just wonderful the new floor in it was excellent, and the new counters and even new stove in the kitchen gave the inne a whole new life. The feast was once more a great sucess the beast roasted to perfection, and the other food well repared as well. the fighting and archery was as well successful.

Pity Party :(

It is a sad thing to be left behind when your fellows go forth to War, and this year was no exception. However as a special surprise many of them arrived home early on the first night of pity party, bring thier spoils of war with them to cheer all of us who couldnt go this year. The spaghetti feed went over quite well with hardly a scrap of food left over. and friend and family got together and had a chance to play hard, and enjoy each others company.
