children if they wish to do so. Or they can
simply listen and enjoy.

mornings for stories, snacks and fun !!!

From September to June, the Westport Library sponsors an
Extended Story Hour for children from 3 - 5 years old. Our
"class" meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
Each week we explore a new theme. Stories and activities
revolve around the theme.
Our goal is to provide a safe and stimulating environment
for preschoolers to nurture a love for books and reading as
well as to provide hands-on learning activities, including
music, crafts, and games. Social skill development is also
a key with a free play period providing time for social
interaction. We limit the size of the group to 10 students,
giving a priority to children 4-5 years old. In the event
that we have extra space, children aged 3 years (potty trained)
with an accompanying care giver are welcomed. Our first class
of the "fall semester" begins on September 25th,2007

a space if your child was not signed up in the spring.
